摘 要：There is a clear demand for simpler and more efficient procedures to obtain biochemical information on different fields. Along evolution in new analytical technologies, the use of biosensors is a clear option for a fast, simple, and cheap gathering of information. In the last decade, a new trend in the sensor field has arisen, which is to couple multidimensional sensor information with advanced computer processing strategies; when this approach uses biosensors, the developed devices, known as BioETs, may provide further advances, deriving applications of qualitative and quantitative nature, even custom adapted to specific requirements. This chapter, apart from introducing general ideas, has shown two BioET developments, in this case with departure point on different sensor transduction techniques.
