Though increased investments on IT systems will eventually lead to higher expenditure by patients due to the advanced technology used, healthcare providers still choose to increase their spending on IT. Both the Private and Public sectors are engaging in various projects that have increased the usage of IT in healthcare. Private companies are especially seen to be spending more on IT and this trend is forecast to continue in the coming years. Maintenance of standard record formats and financial incentives from governments and other international welfare organizations will further encourage investments in IT systems in the Healthcare sector. IT will help enhancing the delivery systems in the Healthcare sector and reduce the occurrence of errors.
