摘 要：PET is an imaging technique for producing a three-dimensional image of the functional processes in the human system. PET scans are increasingly read alongside CT or MRI scans providing information on both anatomic and metabolic information. PET imaging is a powerful tool in combination with anatomical imaging, such as CT and MRI. This has enabled its application in the area of oncology, cardiology, and neurology studies.The Global PET market has been experiencing a steady growth. In 2012, most of the growth in the market stemmed from the Americas and the EMEA region, which together accounted for more than 75 percent of the market. However, the emerging economies of the APAC region, such as China and India, and of Latin America, such as Brazil and Argentina, are expected to grow at a faster pace during the forecast period. The overall market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 3.74 percent during the period 2012-2016.
