摘 要：Motion-controlled remotes are devices that incorporate motion sensors and motionsensing software to provide consumers pointing-based user interfaces to wirelessly operate electronic devices such as TVs (including smart TVs), STBs, and gaming consoles. There are two popular types of motion-controlled remotes that are mostly used by customers: IR remotes and radio frequency (RF) remotes. IR remotes are the most common type of remotes used by customers globally, while RF is emerging as an effective remote technology. Further, IR remotes control various functions of electronic gadgets by sending pulses of IR light to a device, whose carrier frequency is around 38 kHz. RF remotes use radio waves in a similar way and do not require line of sight, which makes them easier to use.
