摘 要:

A sauce is used as a dip, a glaze, a filling, and an accompaniment with food. It is added to food to enhance flavor, visual appeal, and taste or used as a complementary dish in some cultures. The most popular types of sauces are tomato sauce (ketchup), soy sauce, mustard sauce, chili sauce, bechamel, and hollandaise. Meanwhile, dressings are used for garnishing and giving taste to food products, especially salads, burgers, sandwiches, and other snack items. Mayonnaise, red wine oil, vinegar, Caesar, Italian, and Russian dressings are among those most widely used. Many dressings are also used as dips for bread, vegetables, and salads.
