摘 要：Electronic components are discrete devices that are used in electronic systems. There are two categories of electronic components, namely, active and passive. China is the manufacturing hub for electronics and electronic components because of the availability of low-cost manufacturing inputs in the country. Electronic components include capacitors, magnetic elements, sensing components used in sensors, electric connectors, resistors, and induction coils. wide range of applications of electric components is one of the major factors driving their adoption.The Electronic Component Manufacturing industry in China is growing rapidly. Currently, the majority of the growth is derived from PC manufacturers, the Consumer Electronics sector, and the Telecom sector. The Automobile sector, mobile handset manufacturers, and lighting manufacturers are expected to make significant contributions to this industry in the later years of the period 2012–2016. The industry is expected to post a CAGR of 9.32 percent during the period 2012–2016.
