摘 要：Ever since the advent of electronics in automobiles, road safety has been a primary concern among consumers, government and government transport authorities, and automobile manufacturers. Vehicle, passenger, and pedestrian safety has gained attention, owing to the rise in the number of accidents across the globe and the increasing pressure from automotive regulatory bodies in various countries such as the US, China, India, and the EU. Consequently, this has resulted in the instigation of driver assist systems, assuring enhanced safety compared to standalone passive safety and active safety systems. These driver assist systems are termed as life savior technology, as they help in reducing the severity of the accident, by warning the driver regarding the possible hazards and controlling the vehicle for some seconds in case of emergencies.
