摘 要:The prices of fuel are rapidly rising worldwide, and the consequences of global warming are increasingly becoming inevitable. In such a scenario, there is an urgent need for technologies that would reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fuel expenditure. Hybrid technology vehicles, such as off-highway hybrid commercial vehicles, offer the most viable solution to this problem. Off-highway hybrid commercial vehicles find their applications mainly in three sectors: Agriculture, Construction, and Mining. Agricultural activities across the world are expected to increase in the future. In addition, infrastructure projects worldwide are expected to increase, especially in emerging economies. Both these scenarios would lead to an increase in the demand for off-highway commercial vehicles, and hybrid technology used in such vehicles would prove to be beneficial to consumers.
