The low manufacturing cost of wrist wearable devices in China is driving the market in APAC.The sales of the Apple Watch are expected to slow down by the end of 2016 as the customers are waiting for the release of the new generation watch — Apple Watch 2 — by the end of 2016. However, with the development of newer hardware and an evolving ecosystem, Apple will dominate the market throughout the forecast period.The Android-based smartwatches are expected to give a tougher competition to the Apple watch that released in 2015 in terms of market size and share by 2020.Pebble's smartwatch, with its unique software in combination with affordable hardware, will fuel its growth in the market. However, competitive pressures will cause it to lose share gradually to giants like watchOS and Android Wear.
