摘 要:Geologically, antimony is found in the form of ore and appears as a lustrous tin-white metal. The metal in the form of antimony trioxide is used in the production of flame retardants, lead batteries, and ceramics and as a catalyst and an alloy strengthening agent. China has the largest antimony ore reserves in the world and was a major supplier of the metal to the Global Antimony market. However, the classification of antimony as a strategic and rare earth metal in 2009 and the crackdown on its illegal mining by the Chinese government resulted in worldwide supply constraints.
