摘 要：MEMS are miniature devices manufactured using microfabrication technology. These devices can vary from one micron to several millimeters. Accelerometers, gyroscopes, and magnetometers are discrete MEMS inertial sensors that are used to detect and measure tilt, shock, rotation, and vibrations in a device. However, two or more types of discrete sensors can be fused together to form what are known as combo sensors. These can perform multiple functions. In the past, MEMS inertial sensors were only used for navigation by the aerospace and military sectors, but they are currently also being used in the automotive, consumer, medical, industrial, and communication sectors. This is because of the small size of MEMS inertial sensors, which enables them to be easily integrated with devices and makes them more efficient and cost-effective compared to their traditional counterparts.
