摘 要:Air fresheners are consumer products that release fragrance and are therefore used to create a pleasant smelling and fresh indoor atmosphere in homes and businesses. By releasing fragrance, air fresheners can cover up bad odors, thereby dispelling the uncomfortable feeling caused by the undesirable smells in the immediate environment. They contain a number of different chemical agents such as fragrances, aerosol propellants, and solvents such as mineral oil or 2-butoxyethanol and other glycol ethers, which neutralize offensive odors. As fragrances, air freshener preparations often include terpenes such as limonene. Many air fresheners are known to contain carcinogens, volatile organic compounds, and known toxins such as phthalate esters. Some air fresheners also contain chemicals ingredients that can aggravate asthma and affect reproductive development. Air fresheners are classified into two broad categories: Continuous Action and Instant Action.
