摘 要：Pneumatic actuators convert energy from a compressed gas into motion. They produce both linear and rotary motion when powered by an electric compressor. Such actuators are extensively used in downstream oil and gas facilities, power generation plants, chemical and petrochemicals processing facilities, and mining equipment. Based on the valve actuation mechanism, pneumatic actuators are of three types that include linear, quarter-turn, and multi-turn actuators. These are used in a wide range of applications to perform specific tasks such as filling, ejecting, clamping, picking and placing, and tool changing.
