On average, the life span of a solar panel is about 20-30 years. Solar panels contain toxic substances that can be harmful to the environment, if disposed of in landfills, thus, defeating the purpose of making solar energy sustainable. Therefore, the recycling of used solar panels is necessary. The cumulative solar power generation stood at 584.6 TWh, at the end of 2018. Major countries witnessed widespread adoption of solar panels, as a result of the declining cost and increased focus on the usage of clean energy. With the increasing installation of solar panels and growing environmental concerns, the market studied is expected to augment during the forecast period.
