An electric guitar is a type of guitar that requires external amplification. In this type of guitar, unlike the acoustic guitar, the sound is not produced from the strumming of strings. Rather, the sound output is produced from the movement of strings which is then captured and magnified to produce sound electronically and gives the output through loudspeakers.
