A hammock is a sling-like bed (for swinging, resting or lying down, and sleeping on), which is made of fabric, rope, or netting, suspended between two or more anchor points. This is usually accomplished by using a metal ring or a carabiner, which is attached to a tree or a post using a screw or a nail.
