Any part that rotates/turns on an axis will have a shaft involved. Shafts may contain gears, grooves, and tapers, which require dimensional measurements ranging from diameter & length measurement to distance between two points. Shaft measurements can be done using gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM) & dedicated shaft measuring systems. For the purpose of this research, we have only considered dedicated optical shaft measuring systems. Revenue calculation includes equipment, accessories, and software. It does not include installation/services. Unit shipments and average pricing are provided only at total market level.
