An industrial boiler is a closed vessel with a provision to store water that is heated using a furnace or an industrial burner. Fuels such as coal, natural gas, biomass, and fuel oil are used to generate hot gases that transfer a significant portion of their heat to the boiler vessel, thereby heating the water through the convection process. In most applications of industrial boilers, hot water is utilized to produce steam with a pre-determined temperature and pressure.
