Commercial aircraft leasing is an agreement that involves lessees (being commercial airlines) who procure aircraft from lessors (aircraft leasing companies, financing firms, or other airlines) by making regular payments for the use of aircraft over an agreed period. The lease may merely involve an aircraft (as in the case of a dry lease) or can include the crew, maintenance, and insurance, in addition to the aircraft (as in the case of a wet lease).
