  • 跳频认知无线电网络的伺机频谱接入
    Researchers in the area of cognitive radio often investigate the utility of dynamic spectrum access as a means to make more efficient use of the radio frequency spectrum. Many studies have been conducted to nd ways in which a secondary user can occupy spectrum licensed to a primary user in a manner which does not disrupt the primary user's performance. This research investigates the use of opportunistic access in a frequency hopping radio to mitigate the interference caused by other transmitters in a contentious environment such as the unlicensed 2.4 GHz region. Additionally, this work demonstrates how dynamic spectrum access techniques can be used not only to prevent interfering with other users but also improve the robustness of a communication system.

The results show that a DCV system is life-cycle cost effective for many different HVAC system total pressure and square footage combinations.

    Embedded memory plays a big role in digital systems applications due to the increase of the data size required by many of these applications, such as video games and communication protocols. Also, the ever-increasing gap between processor speed, main memory, and bus speed (memory wall) creates a need for more on-chip memory to keep the processor busy and increase throughput. In addition to the increase of processor frequency, the integration of many cores or functional units on the same chip, which is referred to as system on chip (SOC), requires larger memory size. Embedded memory compromises more than 50 % of the chip area and greater than 80 % of transistor counts. Increased process variation due to technology scaling and the desire for high density memory results in a big challenge to meet the stringent requirements on performance, power, and yield. Embedded memory does not only play a positive role in system performance, but it also has an impact on yield, timing, and power. Memory organization and early decision made by system level and architecture group have big influence on the role and the impact the memory has on the overall system. Tradeoffs from memory cell type, array organization, memory hierarchy, Design for Test, and overall memory subsystem have to be considered early on.

    The objectives of this report are to quantify existing acoustical conditions in Vicksburg National Military Park (VICK) and provide results that can be used for park management and planning. Multiple external sound sources currently impact the soundscape of VICK, including Interstate 20, U.S. Highway 61, Kansas City Southern Railroad, Yazoo Diversion Canal (shipping traffic), and a harbor industrial complex. Inside the park, buses, RVs, motorcycles, and cars create noise along the 16-mile tour road and especially at the Visitor Center and U.S.S. Cairo parking areas. Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) is planning to widen a section of I-20 immediately adjacent to the parks southeast border. MDOT has contracted out the noise analysis for this construction project to Neel-Schaffer, Inc. The company uses 15-minute point measurements and TNM modeling to quantify impacts, but park staff requested more detailed sound monitoring by the Natural Sounds and Night Skies Division.
