Aroma chemicals, also called odorants or fragrances, are natural or synthetic compounds that are characterized by their pleasant smell. These compounds are usually obtained from essential oils and the aromatic compounds. They have a molecular weight less than 300 Da and are extremely volatile and tend to vaporize. Aroma chemicals are used in the products to provide a specific fragrance or to mask the smell of the other product ingredients. They are added to different products such as food and beverages, cosmetics and toiletries, perfumes, fragrance oils, soaps and detergents, and other household products to give them a distinctive odor or smell. These are also used in odorless gases such as natural gas, hydrogen, and propane so to ease their detection in cases of leakage.

化工品补库存告一段落，聚氨酯、化纤和橡胶产品价格明显回落。2016 年4 季度开始化工产品出现一轮补库存高峰，当时化工产品价格普涨，部分产品价格在2-3 个月内涨幅超过50%。

本周国际油价小幅上涨，WTI 期货/Brent 期货分别上涨3.5%/3.5%至47.84/50.84 美元/桶。据EIA 最新数据显示，截止5 月5 日当周，美国原油库存减少524.7 万桶，大超市场预期（减少178.6 万桶），降幅为去年12 月30 日当周以来最大。此外，沙特一直保持远超承诺的减产幅度，减产协议延长预期不断增强也对油价有所提振。

基础化工板块较上周下跌4.41%，沪深300 指数上涨0.08%。基础化工板块跑输大盘4.49 个百分点，涨幅居于所有板块第19 位。据申万分类，基础化工子行业本周29 个全部下跌，基础化工各子行业跌幅居前的有：轮胎-9.2%，磷肥-8.6%，粘胶-8.2%，改性材料-8.2%，磷化工及磷酸盐-7.8%。个股方面，本周基础化工涨幅居前的个股有：濮阳惠成25.6%，天茂集团13.1%，强力新材11.6%，横河模具9.5 %，*ST 天利8.0%。

化工行业在2016 年度以及2017 年一季度中整体发展情况稳定良好，收入增速、利润增速、盈利能力、资本投资等各项指标皆向好提升。

未来一段时间，基础化工行业的发展态势为：（1）多数周期类化工品相继于2014 年触底，开启景气复苏进程；（2）预计WTI 油价中枢将在50 美元/桶附近震荡；（3）大部分化工品价格伴随原油价格波动，精细化学品价格相对稳定，供给端格局较好的化工品仍具有独立行情；（4）供给侧改革方面，关注产能可能永久性退出的化工子行业；关注部分地区环保趋严对行业的影响；（5）下游实质性需求复苏有待观察。给予基础化工行业“持有”评级。

美国原油库存大减，油价触底反弹。WTI 本周收于47.81 美元/桶，上涨3.44%；布伦特原油收于50.91 美元/桶，上涨3.69%。受美国库存数据偏好提振，原油期价收盘涨逾3%。
