A fire truck, also known as a fire engine, fire apparatus or fire appliance is a vehicle designed for
firefighting operations. The primary purpose of a fire truck includes transportation of firefighters to
an incident scene to extinguish fire with the use of water or some chemical composition known as
foam. In addition, fire departments employ these fire trucks for medical emergency services and
rescue purposes. Product innovation and technological advancements in the field of fire trucks
and related equipment has lowered the fatality rate in fire related incidents.
