The global soldier training industry can be segmented into basic training and advanced
training. Basic training is aimed at developing the physical and psychological skills
required for battle. Advanced training consists of various real-time military exercises that
generally involve training on military technologies, equipment, and other tactical
requirements. Real-time training exercises are not only expensive but also increase the
incidence of accidents and other malfunctions that could turn out to be costly for any
military force. Therefore, to reduce this risk, military forces across countries are
increasingly opting for training simulations and virtual training systems.
