中国图像存档和通信系统市场报告(2012-2016年)
A picture archiving and communication system (PACS) is an electronic network that connects image systems such as X-ray, ultrasound, and digital radiography to computer process units in order to display diagnostic medical images. It is a medical imaging technology designed to provide a complete solution for image management in a radiology department. PACS can store, transmit, retrieve, manage, and distribute images from various medical imaging modalities such as magnetic resonance, positron emission tomography (PET), computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, mammography, and digital radiography. The clinical areas where PACS is applied are cardiology, radiology, oncology, and gastroenterology. PACS is an important module that accelerates hospital productivity and resolves many problems associated with film. Moreover, PACS can easily integrate with radiology and cardiology information systems, as well as hospital information systems to increase the productivity of hospitals. The PACS market in China is in its infancy stage, but it is one of the fastest-growing healthcare IT markets. PACS was introduced in China approximately 10 years ago. The use of PACS in China is concentrated largely at big hospitals. About 90 percent of big hospitals are using PACS, while only 10 percent of community hospitals are digital. Moreover, about 90 percent of installed systems are modality PACS and the rest are departmental PACS and enterprise PACS. The growth rate of the market is reducing every year. The market is expected to post a CAGR of 19.5 percent during the period 2012–2016.
