The oil and gas industry is one of the biggest industries worldwide. Crude oil and
natural gas are found in rock formations in the earth's crust. The depths at which oil
and gas reservoirs occur can vary from a few feet to more than 40,000 feet. The
extraction of these valuable petroleum resources achieved by drilling through the
surface to the depths where these resources occur. The activities involved in the
extraction, transportation, and processing of the oil and gas resources are divided into
the following segments:
Material handling equipment refers to a range of products that aid in the transportation
and storage of materials. Such equipment enhances and streamlines supply chain
distribution channels, increases the operational efficiency and the workflow in
manufacturing, and manages warehouse operations for optimum utilization. The
equipment offers an accurate, process efficient, and cost-effective method for the swift
movements of goods across and within organizations. The material handling
equipment market is increasing year-over-year owing to the dramatic rise in ecommerce
and online shopping portals. This equipment is used for managing and
handling the goods in material handling sites such as warehouses. Stackers are used
in managing the stacks of goods and materials whereas forklifts are used in moving the
whole stacks from one place to another and loading and unloading of goods from
trucks.
A gas detector, part of a safety system, is used to detect the presence of gasses in an
area. This equipment is used to detect a gas leak or other emissions that can interfere
with the control system so that a process can be shut down automatically. In addition,
these gas leaks can be hazardous to the equipment and personnel in the industrial
environment. The detector raises an alarm which signals operators to leave the area.
