The global optical imaging market is witnessing continuous technological developments and product innovations. The Americas was the major revenue contributor to the global optical imaging market in 2016, with the US dominating the market in the region. It was followed by EMEA. There is, however, a huge opportunity for the market in APAC to rise at a faster rate and increase its revenue contribution during the forecast period.

As the data over a fiber-optic network is transferred using light, the speed offered is immense when compared to the copper network infrastructure. The electrons used in copper wires travel at less than 1% of the speed of light, whereas photons used in fiber-optic connections travel at approximately 70% of the speed of light.

过去一周，上证综指涨幅（ 0.31% ），创业板指涨幅（ -1.50% ），中小板指涨幅（-0.79% ）；海通5G板块涨幅为（-4.18%），海通物联网板块涨幅为（0.78%）。2017年全年，海通国内5G板块涨幅62.68%，跑赢沪深300指数40.91个百分点；物联网板块涨幅（-12.24%），由于估值及市场风格原因表现低于大盘。

移动通信运营商的主营业务已从早期的语音业务为主演变为移动数据业务为主的时代，用户基数低的运营商中，网络数据服务被阻塞的概率更小，上网速率也大概率更高，这会为目前用户数少的运营商提供强劲的增长支撑；同时异网漫游和携号转网政策的推出也对目前用户数少的运营商有利。对中国联通来说，还有创新业务带来的增长机会。 

本周全国工业和信息化工作会议，预计 2017 年全年软件和信息化技术服务业收入增长 14%，电信业务总量增长 69%，互联网行业收入增长 40%。

通信板块上周随着大盘继续下跌，跌幅相对于上周有明显扩大，市场信心继续承压。我们对后市持谨慎乐观态度，建议关注两个子版块：一是 5G 核心设备商、光通信设备商、光纤光缆供应商等低估值白马品种，随着 5G NR 标准的确定，通信设备厂商将率先受益，预计通信网络、基站建设、通信终端、行业应用将相继受益于 5G 的发展。二是“数据流量红利”标的，继中国联通开展混改之后，中国电信和中国移动相继完成公司制改制。
